Moydrum Castle, Moydrum, outside of Athlone, County Westmeath, Ireland.

Photographer Anton Corbijn photographed U2 in font of Moydrum Castle for the cover of their 1984 album The Unforgettable Fire. Ironically, the recording of the album began in another Irish castle, Slane Castle, where the band lived, wrote and recorded. The album title is a reference to an art exhibit about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima that the band saw while on tour in Japan the previous year.
