16 Robinhood Drive, Sayerville, NJ.

On March 30, 1989, Jon Bon Jovi gave away his childhood home to Jay and Judy Frappier who were winners of an MTV contest. The Bongiovi’s had lived at 16 Robinhood Drive for 24 years before Jon’s parents decided to buy a new house in another town to get some privacy. It was Jon’s younger brother who suggested making it part of an MTV contest. According to Jon in an MTV commercial for the contest, “It’s my boyhood home, man. This is the place where I learned about the finer things in life. Like rock and roll and women.”   The Frappiers sold the house in July, 1990 after receiving a $70,000 tax bill for the contest prize.
