One of the greatest voices in heavy metal, Ronnie James Dio succumbed to stomach cancer on May 16, 2010. The former Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Dio singer was famous for such hits as “Heaven And Hell,” “The Mob Rules,” “Holy Diver,” “The Last In Line,” “The Man On The Silver Mountain” and many more. He was laid to rest at Forrest Lawn Hollywood Hills in Los Angeles, CA. His tomb, at the Forrest Lawn Courts of Remembrance section, bears the inscription of one of his most well known songs – “The Man On The Silver Mountain.”
Forrest Lawn Hollywood Hills is also the final resting place for many celebrities including: Bette Davis, Roy Campanella, Roy Disney, Andy Gibb, Stan Laurel (of Laurel & Hardy), Liberace, Ricky Nelson, Jeff Porcaro of Toto, Joan Rivers and John Ritter.
