For their 1973 Double Platinum debut album pronounced ‘lĕh-‘nérd ‘skin-‘nérd, the members of Lynyrd Skynyrd were photographed in front of the building at 106 S. Main St. in Jonesboro, Georgia, just south of Atlanta.

Also of note, several of the scenes from the 1977 film “Smokey and the Bandit” were filmed in Jonesboro, including the scene where Burt Reynolds and Jerry Reed load the Coors beer onto the tractor trailer rig, which was shot about nine doors down from the Skynyrd location.
