The album cover to Led Zeppelin’s “Physical Graffiti” is a photograph of a building located in New Yorks East Village on St. Mark’s Place. In order to fit the square dimensions of an album cover, the designer cropped out the fourth floor. The building still stands today. In 1981, the Rolling Stones used the same building in their video for “Waiting On A Friend.”   A loose leaf tea shop called Physical GraffiTea is now housed in the building.
