Corner of Peralta Street & Hollis Street, Oakland, California.

The cover of the 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival’s album Willy And The Poor Boys was shot in Oakland, California at the corner of Peralta and Hollis Streets in front of the Duck Kee Market. Just a few blocks from their Fantasy Records office the band strolled up the block for photos ‘down on the corner’ in front of the market. For the album’s back cover, the band was photographed in a vacant lot across the street. The Duck Kee Market is no longer but the building still stands albeit it has lost it’s character and looks more like a typical office building.
