Cotchford Farm – The Death of Brian Jones
Cotchford Farm, Cotchford Lane, East Sussex, England.
On July 3, 1969, Rolling Stones guitarist, Brian Jones’ body was found face down in the bottom of the swimming pool at his house at Cotchford Farm. Officially ruled as “Death by misadventure” by the coroner, some have claimed that he was murdered by a handyman who was hired to do work on the grounds. Battling a drug addiction, Jones was 27 years old at the time and had been kicked out of the Rolling Stones just a month earlier.
The farm had once been owned by A.A. Milne, the creator of Winnie The Pooh.
