Cheap Trick’s At Budokan album is one of the best selling live albums of all time, selling over three million copies. The album was recorded on April 28th and 30th, 1978 at the Budokan Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Built in 1964 for the judo competition in the 1964 Summer Olympics, the arena holds 14,471 people and has been the venue for many memorable concerts. In addition to Cheap Trick’s live disc, many other live albums have been recorded at Budokan including KISS’s Alive II, Ozzy Osbourne’s 2002 album Live at Budokan and the 1979 album Bob Dylan at Budokan.
